Settling In For The Duration

The duration of the storm, that is. Hurricane Irma is on it's way. The EOC (Emergency Operations Center) was activated earlier in the week, as I may have said, and earlier yesterday evening I arrived at the EOC to stay until the storm is well passed and emergency operations go down to clean up levels. I'll likely be here until the shelters close, which may be a week or more depending on the damage the storm does. If you want to know what we do, feel free to take the courses. We are here for the duration. My role is to keep the county workers safe. Their role is to keep the citizens and county safe.
