Winning Championships Are Fun

While Notre Dame was winning the women's basketball championship, we were winning the softball championship in Dallas, TX. We finished 9-1, the only team who did not record two loses, which makes us #1. I also killed the steps challenge for work with the last three days, but that's another potential victory road. We lost the winner's bracket championship and had to win the loser's bracket championship and then beat the winner's bracket winner (who beat us) twice to give them two loses and knock them out of the double elimination tournament. And so we did.

Than we went to dinner and I had a 22 ounce bone-in ribeye with ribs, mac and cheese, a sweet potato and a salad. Serious reward for a tired body. Back to the hotel for a shower and now, off to bed. The flight was cancelled, a new flight was reserved, the car return was changed, the boss was texted, and we have the 1st place medal which will go into a box somewhere and probably never be seen again, bt the memories, ah, the memories. I did good. We did good. More tomorrow.
